Modder ‘defragen1’ is currently working on a new mod for the first Half-Life that will turn it into a top-down action shooter. This mod, called Occult-Scrim, is far from finished, however the modder has released a new video showcasing some of its features.

EA will revamp the progression system of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on March 21st, will reduce micro-transactions

Electronic Arts has announced that the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Progression update, which includes a complete re-design of the in-game progression system, will begin rolling out on March 21st. As the publisher noted, with this update, progression will be now linear. This means that Star Cards, or any other item impacting gameplay, will only be earned through gameplay and will not be available for purchase.

Modding tools available for 3030 Deathwar Redux

Crunchy Leaf Games announced today that the modding tools for its open-world space adventure game, 3030 Deathwar Redux, are currently available. Dubbed 3030 Deathwar Redux: The Nanobot Conspiracy, this gigantic new update is free to all current and future 3030 players. Chiefly, the release opens all game files to be modded – that includes scripting, missions, dialogue, characters and game locations.

Far Cry 5 has micro-transactions, will be cosmetics and ‘speed up’ items

Far Cry 5 releases in a few days and Ubisoft told Gamespot that its latest open-world title will feature micro-transactions. However, and similar to pretty much all latest games, these micro-transactions will be only for cosmetic items and they will not affect – according to Ubisoft – the gameplay.
