I did think at the time that the PS4 shortages could be a marketing strategy to increase Pro Sales by making the Slims less available. No matter what boost MHW gave, after over 4 years of sales, Sony should have a decent estimate of what demand would be and it looked odd that there were PS4 shortages. These sales figures lends some credence to that line of thought.
