I agree that it should still be called Mario Kart but start incorporating other franchises into the mix, even MK8 started this a little bit. Especially if they plan on releasing Mario Kart 9 on the Switch. There will need to be some sort of major difference if they plan on having two Mario Karts on the same system. I certainly won't be buying a second Mario Kart for the Switch unless they do something to change up the formula.
