You're always doing this whenever someone doesn't like what you like.

His stance is his. His standards are his. He didn't say his standards were the only right ones or that other people don't have different standards. But since he doesn't like what you life, you get defensive like it's the case with you more often than not.

And yeah, it is a question of subjectivity. His stance doesn't have to align with those other people you mention. "You can't say this is not good based on your standards, because there's a general consensus, and that alone dictates that your standards aren't good!" Like, seriously, really?

If your "standard" is that Super Smash Bros. isn't a good game, then yes, you're quite objectively wrong. Anyone's allowed to dislike whatever they will and everyone dislikes good or even great games, too, but that doesn't excuse moaning about how terrible a lineup is when it's filled with great games that people have been asking for and are now excited to get.

Either way, whatever.

But whether a game is good or not is subjective, so I don't see how someone could be objectively wrong for saying it's not a good game.
