A reboot as in a revisiting of Kanto/Johto with an entirely new (not dumbed down Gen VI/VII) approach and story, and a big variety of Pokemon available would have me very interested. If they had it based, say 20-30 years after RGBY/GSC then it would allow for a huge amount of change in the region, and could make revisiting the region a lot more enticing.
Also, leave the fucking battle system alone. I love my turn-based RPGs and Pokemon is practically the only active major one Nintendo has left (apart from FE), I'll murder someone if they go Action RPG for this
