But pointless. Because everyone would want support for all their pokemon. It would be a worse problem than all the limitations between R/G/B/Y G/S/C. Bank would be seriously restricted in use. Sun and Moon already got bad hate with the National Dex not being in there at all. Especially after the release of the Ultra games. Rebooting for the sake of rebooting is lazy and boring. Especially with Pokemon. Which has had remakes for the original games all the time.

There would be no "their" pokemon. A reboot is clean slate and no one should expect "their" pokemon. I just KNOOOW a big part of the  reboot will be done to reduce work load. Totally Game Freak thing to do.   

Rebooting for the sake of rebooting IS lazy and boring. That's exactly what they're gonna do.
