Naw, I'm just going to stop you there. It appears you have no idea what thread you're in, or what you're talking about, or the nature of the internet. This thread is not 'vehemently defend the Xbox One', it's 'why don't you have an xbox' and while I do own an Xbox One, my post was to explain why I don't use it; I never intended this to be some sort of all-out attack on Xbox players or to tell people they were wrong for liking something I don't. This isn't about grasping at straws to devalue someone else's opinions, yet here you are trying your best to tell me I'm wrong in my reasons why I never play on my xbox One. Your counterpoints are so far removed from the point that there's no point in responding to you further. Seriously, you're trying to argue that xbox has exclusives by saying 'Rare Replay has a bunch of games in it'. That is such a weak, shoddy, nothing argument that I have nothing to say to it because it has no bearing on reality. You can nitpick and whine about semantics all you want, but it just makes you look like you're a fool who has no REAL arguments so you're arguing REALLY hard on the incredibly weak ones to pretend they carry any weight. And the final straw in this farce of a discussion is that you seem fixated on the ownership of my Xbox One. Yes I own an Xbox One. No I don't need to prove that. Why in the world would I borrow my roommate's Xbox One, hook it up and perfectly align it alongside my WiiU and Ps4, and let it collect dust on my shelf for the sake of a petulant argument on the internet? Sounds to me like you've concocted a conspiracy just to disprove my points, which is strange, to say the least. My point was, from the very first post I made in this thread, that I don't play my Xbox One because it doesn't have exclusives I care about, the few exclusives it does have doesn't interest me, multiplatform games play better on my Ps4, I like the features of the Switch and PS4 controllers more, in canada the price of the controllers was more expensive on Xbox One at the time of purchase, Microsoft has not impressed me, and the various network issues I've had. My reasons for not playing it. MINE. I am not speaking on behalf of everyone. This isn't a 'convince xbox players to not like xbox' thread, yet you seem to think that me not finding value in the Xbox One somehow challenges your personal opinions on the matter. For some inexplicable reason, you've gone crazy because I used the term 'no exclusives' to describe my reasons when the more technical term is 'so few exclusives it might as well have none'. Despite me explaining to you how the term is used (Be it facetiously or seriously), you're still fixated on it because the only arguments you have are irrelevant to the point. You can continue if you want, but your fixation with my ownership of the Xbox One and your pathetic clinging to the imagined errors in my terminology has shown you're not interested in discussion, but some sort of fantasy victory over me. I have no interest in further interaction with you if you can't have a discussion like a big boy. Adieu. |
That's fine if you don't want to debate your point, however you come out complaining about a one time purchase of $29 optional Battery pack and than call me dense in your reply. Sorry but if $29 is a lot for you than I wouldn't suggest video games as a hobby. Just saying because it is a human luxury and a choice that cost money.
I also couldn't care less if you like Xbox or not. My point is none of your reasons make any sense. And these are your quotes below in bold..
Any time my roommate plays any Xbox One games online, the internet gets tanked.
^Sounds like your Roommates console to me, hence why I don't believe your story. What about when you play Xbox games? Its your console isn't it?
the fact is that the Xbox's internet connectivity is NOT working properly.
^Sounds like a faulty Net or Xbox to me, I have no issues and same with many of my friends who own all the platforms.
PS4 controller cost is 74.99.
^Average Price for a controller
Switch pro controller cost is 89.99.
^Slightly Higher price for a controller
Xbox One controller cost is 79.99.
^Average price for a controller
And, to add extra insult that I didn't even bring up, Xbox has no 'added features', while the Ps4 has the touch pad and the Switch has the amiibo functionality.
^That's the comment that got me.. that you claim the X1 controller had no added features compared to its competitors and yet any X1 owner or gamer for that matter could have told you about the Rumble Triggers. That baffles me and even worse, you tried to use that as a solid argument.
Than you go on to use the term No exclusives yet the console has exclusives and a much bigger library of games if we are going to count every game, yes BC counts because they are games. These are facts, if you prefer Sony AAAs over Xboxes that's fine. I wont debate that however everything else? Rare's Replay being just 1 game is still 1 game filled with exclusives you wont get on PC, Switch, PS4 so it has every right to count and that's only 1 game.
All you needed to say was I don't like Xbox games and that I hate MS. That sounds more believable than a $29 battery pack argument followed by a lot of strange comments about how your friend tanks your internet, and that Rumble Triggers don't count as an added feature to a controller (especially a much loved feature like that) and that PS4 plays the games better yet it doesn't anymore etc.
You are right, there your reasons, and I am perfectly fine with that, we all have our reasons.
