My goodness, all quickrick did was post factual NPD information regarding Switch sales compared to Xbox in Dec and PS4 in Nov. The original claim that the Switch "dominated" December was incorrect. This entire recent back-and-forth could have been completely avoided if one person simply said, "Oh, I meant be on top yet again in December" or "Smash will push sales even further in Dec." A mere acceptance of factual information instead of an obstinate attitude that quickly turned to attacking the user and this thread would look so much better. I see so many times people saying that changing your original prediction is "backpedaling" or "moving the goalposts" but those are wrong uses for those phrases. Changing your prediction means accepting that you were wrong originally and take facts into account to try and make a better prediction. That's not a bad thing. It's people who refuse to accept factual information and continue to use ad hominem attacks that turn discussions into mudslinging and name calling tantrums.

I don't agree much with quickrick's predictions and it's obvious that he has his biases, but I'll say one thing, the guy doesn't resort to ad hominem attacks even when he's being ganged up on by people continuing to attack him instead of his arguments. I doubt I'd be able to do the same.
