They must have recycled a lot of things from the previous smash, but it seems to be new ish game. Smash games are quite similar to each other so it wouldn´t be necessarily a bad thing. Or maybe they will use the splatoon/arms method of releasing new free characters/stages etc. later on. Or just huge amounts of costly dlc
