Anyways, I kind of got sidetracked with my examples, but to summarize:You can think whatever you like, and you can be safe about the things you do, but having expectation, big or small are part of life and part of partaking in things.I do think that if we were all in the fun, it would make for a better forum and community, but thats simply my take on it.That dosent mean I dont respect your opinion, I simply disagree with it.

I did interpret your initial post as trying to force us to raise our expectations so my bad there. I do make predictions of course, just not the same games every event, and usually they're based around some signs or proof, then the discussion comes from debating these reasons, at least the discussions I'd be interested in. I don't see much fun or discussion to be had in predicting Retro's game or Smash for the hundreth time with no evidence backing it up, but again, to each their own. Admittedly there is decent reason to expect Animal Crossing, over 5 years since New Leaf and mobile game, but that game has burned me so many times that at this point I'll just let it come when it comes.
