Capcom have a secondary mh team that always make the games that fill the gaps with the main teams releases. Chances are they are making the switch version.

I hope the main team are left to focus on monster Hunter world on ps4 xbox and pc. Let them focus on 2 years of dlc updates and then let them build mhw 2 in 2020 for ps4 and xbox one again. Followed a year later by a port to pc, ps5 and xbox one. So much money to be made but the last thing we need is the game by built with a weaker switch version in mind. The game was held back by handhelds for years. Let's not get stuck in that cycle again.

Switch holding back?If we go by this mentality, the PS4 and XOne are holding back MH on PC, which accoriding to you, it could have been far better because its much more powerful.

Switch has enough power that, even if a version is being planned out for it, it wont hold back anything for the other versions. It would need some extra work put into it, since some downgrades would be necessary, but other than that it could run without getting into the way of the creative vision for the game.

I dont get why you or anyone here wants to make this into some sort of a console war, as if the Switch is the bane that would hold back the franchise evolution or anything of the sort.If anything, tying it down to only one console, be it Switch, PS4 or any other, is not interesting for Capcom.Especially wasting money on making a whole separate game for only one console when there is perfect game waiting there just to be ported, which would cost them far less money. Now its probably too late, but for the next game, there is no reason not to bring the game over to every system.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
