Capcom have a secondary mh team that always make the games that fill the gaps with the main teams releases. Chances are they are making the switch version.
I hope the main team are left to focus on monster Hunter world on ps4 xbox and pc. Let them focus on 2 years of dlc updates and then let them build mhw 2 in 2020 for ps4 and xbox one again. Followed a year later by a port to pc, ps5 and xbox one. So much money to be made but the last thing we need is the game by built with a weaker switch version in mind. The game was held back by handhelds for years. Let's not get stuck in that cycle again.
