You can take off Zelda of your list. It's not among Nintendo's biggest franchises. The last Zelda that crossed a million in Japan was Ocarina of Time in 1998. This year it is expected to get Smash and Animal Crossing, which is far bigger in Japan than anything Switch got so far. We'll have to wait, but so far 4m looks like a safe bet for what people already mentioned.

How did Smash do in Japan for the Wii U compared with Splatoon, whose sequel also released on the Switch last year?

Over 3.3m across 3DS And Wii U. Even if you take off Wii U, it's still 2.5m. And there's no reason to compare Switch to Wii U... cause, you know, it outsold it in 10 months. You have to actually compare games' potential based on previous successful consoles like Wii, 3DS, DS, etc. It's also unfair to Smash WIi U, cause there was another version for it to compete (the 3DS one, which was/is the best selling console of this gen in Japan).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
