That probably has to do with it being December, the biggest shopping period in the year and one of two months where the rstion of online to retail shoppers is massively skewed.  Also, rankings on Amazon get loopy since lots of software and accessories go on sale, which can broaden gaps between hardware units.

And again, the only thing Amazon predicts is relative sales.  That is, who sold more.  It cannot accurately and reliably predict total sales numbers.  It's entirely possible with these rankings for the results to be Switch>PS4>/=Xbone and yet have the Xbone sell quite well.

February will be very interesting, its the first time switch wasn't on top of the best buy lists, since December, and its also weak on gamestop lists, i know people say they don't matter but they were accurate  for november, and deember.

And how accurate were they the other ten months?  Or over the last several years?  Amazon can be wrong, but it is a rare occurence.  The others being wrong is a common occurrence.

Having said that, I do believe this month will be close.
