I own most of the really good games and the only games that made me want a Pro were Skyrim and GTS. Both get a substantial boost in resolution and detail with a Pro. Both are still fun on my base PS4, but you can clearly notice the possible improvement.

Careful not to expect too much from GTS‘s VR mode though. It’s still very limited and requires to extensively play the game without VR in order to earn all the cars and get access to the tracks, so you can use them in VR mode. It’s limited atm, still the most amazing driving experience I ever had in VR. Dirt Rally is freaking great btw, even on base PS4.

Of course both eyes are separated from another in PSVR. It doesn’t make a difference if it’s one larger or two smaller screens.

I haven’t met one person which wasn’t impressed with my PSVR yet. Be careful not to overdo it at the start though...RE7 is not really beginner‘s stuff, although it does have comfort options....I really don’t like stuff like step turning though, nor teleportation. Just make sure you take it slow first and allow yourself to adapt to it.

Best idea for the start is to get VR worlds and the two demo disks from the PSN. ( lots of great deals atm on PSN for PSVR software) I absolutely recommend checking out the Moss demo. Full game will be out next week!

Oh, so with GTS, you can't play the whole game in VR mode?

I have honestly never even heard of VR Worlds; going to look into it when I get a free moment.

I'm mostly planning on waiting until March 1, but my credit card limit got a boost yesterday and I'm sort of considering getting it this weekend instead. I'm super impulsive so I'm trying to do my research first. If I could find a store where I could go in and try it out that would be ideal, but I haven't seen any in my area. A co-worker mentioned giving Best Buy a try.

Sorry for playing fifty questions, but is the 3D effect as good as a 3DS'?

hahaha sorry, that just made me laugh. The 3D Effect in VR is above anything you have experienced on a screen yet. It feels completely realistic. You can judge correct distances, a building or animal really seems 5-10-50 meters tall, if it is in the game.

No, sadly you can’t play the whole game in VR in GTS. The power of PS4 simply doesn’t allow it. It’s just a very brief VR mode with a slow 1:1 A.I. race. It’s still impressive, but not a system seller imho. Even though just driving the Nordschleife in a Cobra a dusk is among my most memorable gaming experiences ever. Kaz has already announced more VR modes though, but atm no one knows when.

Dirt Rally VR offers the whole game though, as does Driveclub basically.

If you’re buying you can try it out anyway, no?! You can always send/bring it back if you don’t like it. Although you need to be careful not to scratch your lenses then.
