Love this thread idea!
Regrettably, I've stopped responding to some members because I know they'll dig in their heels and refuse to budge an inch. It's just not fun.
For my part, I've tried to improve this part of myself. Admitting wrongness is actually quite liberating, I've found, and edifying.
Here's a case where I debated with Teeqoz, and the debate went on longer than it needed to because I was too focused on "winning" than on being objective and honest: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8678641.
And another where I was quicker to change my mind with Pokoko: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8592776. As a result there wasn't a lot of unnecessary back-and-forth.
In these cases, Teeqoz and Pokoko were right and I was wrong. I followed up each conversation with a wall post saying as much. In the end it's OK to be wrong, and in my mind it's more admirable to acknowledge and correct that wrongness than to stand your ground when the facts don't back you up.
