I still have another week to decide; really considering picking this up when I get paid on the first of the month.

I'm reading specs, and finding out that it's a 1080p screen in there with 960x1080 per eye (half the screen per eye). I envisioned there being two screens, so that concerns me a little bit. I also don't have a PS4 Pro, and I'm not sure how much my experience will be hindered by not having one.

Is there anything in the device that prevents your eyes from wandering and seeing the part of the screen that the other eye is meant to see? Having never tried one before, do you think I'll be impressed when I first try it out?

I want to be convinced.

EDIT: Also, I'd probably get two games; thinking GT Sport and RE.

I own most of the really good games and the only games that made me want a Pro were Skyrim and GTS. Both get a substantial boost in resolution and detail with a Pro. Both are still fun on my base PS4, but you can clearly notice the possible improvement.

Careful not to expect too much from GTS‘s VR mode though. It’s still very limited and requires to extensively play the game without VR in order to earn all the cars and get access to the tracks, so you can use them in VR mode. It’s limited atm, still the most amazing driving experience I ever had in VR. Dirt Rally is freaking great btw, even on base PS4.

Of course both eyes are separated from another in PSVR. It doesn’t make a difference if it’s one larger or two smaller screens.

I haven’t met one person which wasn’t impressed with my PSVR yet. Be careful not to overdo it at the start though...RE7 is not really beginner‘s stuff, although it does have comfort options....I really don’t like stuff like step turning though, nor teleportation. Just make sure you take it slow first and allow yourself to adapt to it.

Best idea for the start is to get VR worlds and the two demo disks from the PSN. ( lots of great deals atm on PSN for PSVR software) I absolutely recommend checking out the Moss demo. Full game will be out next week!
