I'm still surprised that people seem to focus on the US box office numbers only. I get it that it is the largest market, but usually the international box office surpass it easily. I can't understand this separation. If a movie makes 200M in the US + 150M international, is it better than a film doing 100M (US) + 700M (international)? Of course not, money is money, it doesn't matter from which country it is.

The only way to measure the success of a film is comparing the total worldwide box office.
