Well, Avengers had everything great about Iron Man...plus it had Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and a good villain! 

soooo, my point is that really the only great thing about Iron Man was the title character. Just so happened to be one of the best portrayals of a comic book character ever! Avengers had that as well, plus more heroes and a villain worth cheering for.
