Fact of the matter is, this isn't new and it won't effect much of anything.

Pretty much this.  I mean, there are of course people on the other side that go off over dumb shit but this is on another level.  It is a reaction to a completely imaginary problem.

I've actually asked several times throughout this thread what people would suggest be done differently, and I've been met with deafening silence each time.   I legitimately cannot think of a more practical and efficient way of recording race.  Apparently, none of the people who feel like this is a horrible problem can either.
