It asks the wrong question though. Grid girls haven't been banned. There are already posts in this thread about other Formula racing tournaments keeping grid girls. This case is just about F1 stopping the practice themselves. There is no ban. They decided to stop the practice though.
Like many other jobs, they haven't been banned, they're just becoming less and less relevant.
