Xbox Games Pass is a strength, not a problem.

I doubt a few small independent stores in the UK, and Gameware in Austria is much of a problem really. Austria is dominated by playstation, its not like Xbox had has much of a presence in Mainland Europe.

Infact, I think the underlying reason for the delisting is poor xbox sales, because I bet this wouldnt had happened if Sony had the game pass.

For the consumer, it's a strength, no doubt.

But for Microsoft, it can become a big problem. Retails don't make any money from selling consoles, only from selling their games. Hence why several retailers already announced they won't stock XBO anymore because with the Gamepass, they can't make any money with Xbox anymore. If this would get more widespread then it would definitely become a problem for Microsoft. Just imaging Gamestop only stocking Sony and Nintendo games and not accepting Xbox games anymore. Or worse, someone like Amazon not selling the console anymore because they can't make a winning out of it.

And yes, it would have happened with Sony too. In fact, it did happen with Sony before, remember PSP Go? It flopped not only because few wanted to buy it, but also because only very few retailers sold the damn thing. Now guess why nobody wanted to list the handheld in their shops even before it got clear that it flopped? I think now you know the answer.

You bring up total valid points. However, PSP go is just a PSP variant, while a game pass would apply to all PS4's. At that time, DS was doing better than the PSP as well. The retails could revolt and lose little to no business, with people who were set on getting the GO variant just settling on a normal variant if not available.

Would gameware delist ALL OF PS4, by far their best-selling console and games? They would be arranging their own coffin if they do that.

Gamestop would never think of doing this because XBO sales are pretty good in the US, and they would lose a pretty big sized chunk of their business, something Gareware doesnt have to worry about because of the poor sales that bring little business to them.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
