Iron Man 3 has a few flaws and it's sad to think that after all the hype of Mandarin what we got was Extremis... did anyone really like that story?
Let's see, alcoholism replaced with PTS. Buddy cop for some of it for reasons. "You aren't the Spider-man without the suit bluh bluh". No Mandarin. AIM was reduced to that? AIM, the guys that created beings of immense power.
Ignoring fanboy complaints it was an entertaining 'Christmas' film if not a little cheesy in parts.
