Why didn't everybody buy the GC and N64 based on this data?

There wasn't a 2D Mario game for the 64 or Gamecube (unless you count Paper Mario but that wasn't much of platformer was it? I didn't play it).

It's also no secret that the N64 had some of the greatest games of all time on it that defined multiple genres (Mario64, Pilotwings 64, Mariokart 64, both Zelda's, Goldeneye, ect) and the Gamecube also had quote a few great games that people still swoon over to this day (SSBM, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, RE4).

 

I don't blame you for not getting paper mario because it was a very obscure title, but you MUST play both games at some time in your life. Paper mario has been anounced for virtual console and try and find a copy of The Thousand Year Door in a bargin bin somewhere. The great thing about those games is that they do everything to throw all the rules of an RPG right

out the window and it's what makes them so good.

 I actually have thousand year door, Istill just haven't had time to play it yet.  I still have to finish RE4, FFXII, Twilight Princess, God War, God of War II, and a few other games I can't remember off the top of my head (during the 2 years of getting my masters I really didn't have time to play a lot of games that required any amount attention so I'm behind >_>).
