I guess I don't know for sure how much a slim will benefit from a better drive. However, I own a PS4 Pro with a stock drive, and an XB1S with solid state drive. The XB is a rocket ship compared to both the Pro and an unmodified XBone. Of course, this only affects the loading times. But, it is a real, tangible difference that comes in to play every time you play anything. |
Pro supports SATA3 which Slim doesn’t, so the difference should be noticeable. That said, according to DF Pro definitely has improved loading times compared to base PS4 with the standard drive, as well as with an SSD, but here only by a relatively small margin. Both consoles seem to benefit greatly by an SSD. So seems my statement wasn’t 100% correct.
