So now that they've done something to cater to people who hate high framerates I hope they will do something for people like me next.

PS4 Pro has boost mode that increases framerate in games with unlocked framerates. DF did an analysis of the boost mode on AC: Unity and Fallout 4 and the difference is big.

There are some games that support increased framerates without boost mode too. Infamous: Second Son and Shadow of the Colossus run at 60fps on Pro.
