Okay that is a good question.   You see I just looked at Nlointendo console sales and with exception of the Wii, their sales have never been giant.  I predict that the mobile nature of the Switch (competing at consoles) at a 300 price will make it sell less than the 3DS. I asaying here that price matters and their history leads me to think that 65 million is a sweet spot.

Switch is a Hybrid their portable performance with the exception of the Virtual Boy has always passed 70m, Switch is also outperforming 3DS in the same time scale at the higher price which contradicts you here.
