You have a right to be confused and truthfully i'm a little confused as well. I just assumed it was shipped and this was all a big misunderstanding. Strangely enough I've always thought game sales were sold through, so even in my own mind I guess I had an odd perception of the numbers. But I don't know why you're response was too immediately attack Nintendo fans, and then when replied to, later blame Nintendo. Like, step back for a minute and don't be so quick to blame people. It's all okay, it really doesn't matter too much which it is anyways.

Just on that part, that seems unlikely. Tracking worldwide console sell through is one thing, but actual software sell through would be so much more difficult. IIRC no company has ever actually released an official sell through figure for (physical) software (other than the Media Create etc estimates). Of course when it comes to digital games it will be sell through, because that's all there really is for digital.

Yeah I know haha, that's why I admitted it was strange that I always assumed that. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense thinking back on it because I always thought of consoles as shipments. I guess all I can learn from hindsight is to have some consistency.
