Just because GoW has a story, doesn't make it TLoU. That's not what I'm talking about and I have no idea what you're on about with "GoW is inspiration" for anything bollocks. This game looks and sounds nothing like a GoW game. Every trailer has this guy named Kratos "being a dad", as if he wasn't a horrible, genocidal, mankind apocalypse bringer. This guy has a generic axe and does a special move where he... sorta tosses it? Right, and he can't jump either. And just for good measure of keeping character continuity, they went ahead and changed his voice too. Why? Because this is God of Feels, son. The main point I'm trying to point at is how much walking around the player does in the trailers. Walking around, stopping to watch a cutscene of a cliff falling and Kratos just... jumping it. Instead of letting the player do it, he just sorta does it in the cutscene. Walking around + babysitting little kid + watching cutscenes of your character do things instead of playing a video game = 10/10 amirite? Before I go plagiarizing, most of what I'm saying is summarized in a video I completely agree with. If you take a moment to watch it, you might see what I'm getting at.

Personal opinion here, but that was a very stupid video. again in my opinion.
The guy basically complained that he doesn't want anything new, just the same story and more simply button smashing and dont touch his camara. Imagine if this was said about resident evil 4, wich so far according to everyone was the peak of resident evil.
Second thing is that all these trailers are story focused because its what the biggest improvement is according to the devs. Reason for that is cuz that is what makes the trailer look better and attracts people. As far as we know is the same mindless hack and slash but with a third person view with some as you call it, walky talky moments.
I suggest that before people start slamming a game, wait for more info on it to be available, cuz again, they just showed the story trailers. You can be sure that more gameplay videos will show up and most likely new weapons and or magic.
I will say that I am a little bias and this is the kind of things I like. I despise mindless grindfest and online multiplayer. Im the kind of guy who only has time to play through a game once. So If they want to make every moment impactful cuz there is less total time then that's excellent by me. Im always willing to try new things, as far as you know, it could be better then what you know.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
