I have been interested in this franchise since the first game, just hated handhelds and therefore waited and hoped it would come back to console.
Edit: yes there was a Wii U MH but... not exactly interested in that console (which im sure isnt a controversial opinion), not to mention this is a game made for consoles taking advantage of those specs, instead of just a port of a handheld version.
