I do not understand why is it that some people here think physical games are gonna go the way of Blockbuster. They are different mediums, in price,value, and fans. Digital is surely going to go stronger in the coming years, but I imagine it will reach some kind of peak after which it will barely grow - too many people are attached to their physical copies, myself included.

There needs to be an overhaul of digital, with better deals (except for steam, the deals are in fact too good), a simple loaning mechanism, and re-sell value if it is to improve upon physical further.

You might not think that physical will become more or less extinct, but you can´t even understand how some of us think it will? ecause there aren´t emphirical data to draw conclusions from?

The empirical data shows that digital is gaining on physical, but there has to be a certain limit to this growth is exactly what I am saying.
