Did you xD

GTA 4 doesn't come close to Motorstorm: Pacific Rift in terms of graphics. Even the PC version doesn't hold up quite as well as Motorstorm. GTA 5 again doesn't come close in terms of graphics to Driveclub and many other games released that year. I understand your point about Uncharted but Halo has comparable graphics in bigger environments and more enemies on the playing field.

So does GTA. You can talk up Motorstorm and Driveclubs car models all you want, GTA have a LOT more to offer than just that. They also have excellent character models and really good looking combat. I especially thought the explosions looked awesome in both GTA 4 and 5. Neither Motorstorm nor Driveclub can match them in those aspects, or the sheer level of detail that GTA has.

The thing is GTA doesn't have graphics in the same league as Motorstorm and Driveclub. Being open world matters only if they are atleast comparable in termsd of visuals which they aren't. I've played them all last year and the differences are huge. Halo is very comparable to Uncharted and seems to havea  lot more going on that too in a bigger environment which is why its just above uncharted but GTA 5 on PS4 is outclassed even by Infamous: Second Son that same year. GTA 4 doesn't look nearly as good as Gears 2 either which released that year so these games weren't even in the contest.

Sheer level of detail in what terms are you talking about. GTA 5 has its roots in last gen tech and it shows with the geometry, textures and the polygon count is lower for each object in the game. The character animations are not smooth either they just look really bad.
