The article brings up legitimate concerns. I think 2017 was a great year for Nintendo. I know some awesome games are coming out in 2019. 2018 library does seem a little barren though at the moment. Will 3rd party support fill Nintendo's library till more Nintendo reinforcements come. Does Nintendo have a lot more planned for 2018 but just hasn't announced anything yet. All good questions.

I think that’s something interesting to think about. Remember, Koizumi just finished Odyssey, Yabuki (from the Mario Kart team) just released ARMS, the Animal Crossing (or at least some of its team members) just released Splatoon 2 and have several more months of updates, Monolith Soft just released Xenoblade 2 and have the DLC to finish up, and Aonuma just released BoTW and all it’s DLC.

You next got HAL releasing Kirby: Star Allies, Good-Feel developing Yoshi, Game Freak developing Pokemon Switch, Camelot developing Mario Tennis Aces, and IS developing Fire Emblem Switch.

The question marks are some of the smaller teams, Retro Studios, whoever is working on Metroid Prime 4 along with Tanabe, whatever Aya Kyogoku is developing (probably related to Labo since she retweeted the announcement of the upcoming teaser of Labo), and who knows what Sakurai and Sora Ltd. are doing next. It’ll be interesting to see what else will be announced throughout this year.
