And even if they are not, so what? You save money either way without having to wait for a price drop:

buy the game at release to keep it forever: $60 - $70

subscribe one month to gape ass game pass when the game launches: $10
then buy an additional copy a few years later to have it in the collection: ~$10
total costs: ~$20 

or if you don't want to wait that long:

subscribe one month to gape ass game pass when the game launches: $10
then buy an additional copy a few month later (f.e. next black friday) to have it in the collection: ~$30
total costs: ~$40
