Yep, not only getting to know them but also where they are headed, which is in great places, especially Captain America. It's just cool to watch their beginnings.

Opposite effect for me with most of them. When these films first came out I would have given them much higher scores because I was fanboying. While mainly and X-men reader, I was exclusively Marvel and seeing these characters on the big screen was amazing. Since due to how the MCU has progressed. I'm more wary over what I'm watching.

The MCU isn't the 616, I know that, even the 616 isn't the 616 anymore. Jonothan Hickman, Bendis and their clique hurt it. Whatever happened to getting award winning writers at Marvel and not just people's mates? Maybe the new EIC will sort stuff out.

 

... this won't be the last of my bitterness btw. :P

These movies are definitely not comparable to TDK Trilogy or X-Men 1/2, Logan, FC/DoFP, except for, imo, Winter Soldier and maybe Civil War.
