As it stands we have two types of systems: the system sold by first party (Nintendo), and the systems that sell third party (Sony and Microsoft).

It is generally believed that because Nintendo fans only buy Nintendo, they don't buy third party. Third party doesn't sell, so third parties don't come, which means that Nintendo gamers don't buy third party.....that whole death spiral.

On the systems third party does sell, they tend to do better than the first party offerings on their systems, such as Halo and Uncharted.

Now....let's say that we are dealing in a scenario where the issues with third party never developed. Perhaps the 64 and Gamecube had the third parties try more, or they were easier to port to. The systems don't do marketdly better, but the third party is more consistent from 64 to Switch.

Do the Third Parties outsell the first party like the other systems?

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
