Because if one never acknowledges that they made a mistake while using a snarky attitude, they have less incentive to either look things up first next time, or question it in a more polite manner.
Like I said, I don't mind if people make honest mistakes. It happens to everyone, me included. But usually people acknowledge when they make mistakes, and don't ignore questions from others while continuing to post in the same topic.

Ummmm yeah, this was 2 weeks ago. Might wanna let that go no?
