The pro has zero exclusive games. In fact, Sony won't allow anyone to make any game exclusively for the PS4 Pro at this time. Meanwhile, the PSVR has dozens of exclusive games like R.I.G.S., which Sony gave away to all PS+ subscribers.

Like I said, we know the PS4 Pro sold *at least* 2 million by June 2017.

PS4 Pro vs PSVR is a completely fair comparison. They're both new Playstation products. They both enhance the Playstation gaming experience. They were both released at about the same time. They're both completely optional from the core PS4 experience. Yet, one has been more expensive since its announcement, has never dropped in price, and has sold more.

I can guarantee you if PSVR was outselling PS4 Pro you would have mentioned it in this thread as evidence to the popularity of it.

VR is not a completely new medium. I can remember playing Duke Nukem 3D VR at a theme park in the 90's. Just because Sony decided to wade into the VR waters doesn't make the experience new.

The Pro is a 100 $ upgrade to the normale PS4 which doesnt require it. Other then more performance it still offers a larger HDD. it still just sold 20% of the PS4s which is incredible bad.

The PSVR, even during its sale, was still a 200$ upgrade which requires a PS4 or PS4 pro to run at all.

I had actually expected the pro to sell much better. just 20% for all it does for just 100$ definitly shows the market isnt ready for more powerfull consoles but just want cheaper consoles.

The market so far doesnt seem VR ready either yet though,  we will see if that changes or not.

The market has always, always favored cheaper consoles. Why is this news for you?

If you agree that the market doesn't seem VR ready, why would Sony ship the PS5 with VR headsets?
