mario kart 8 deluxe is on par to doing similar numbers it always has, only wii is a outlier, as for mario 3d  well there hasn't been many ambitious 3d  mario games since n64, mario galaxy was ambitious but it didn't have the wow factor because the shit hardware that wii was, and as i said before i could have did better but there 2 3d mario games that gen which never happened before.

As for your Mario comments, i think they may offend quite a few here. Galaxy wasn't a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, in fact a few here have it as their favourite Mario game. I think they would disagree with your "wow factor" comment too. Also, the Wii was not shit hardware. Not by a long stretch.
