There are three types of gamers out there.(actually 4 but the fourth is so small that they don't make that much of a difference)

Sony needs to have the best show. Not so much hardware wise but software wise you need to get those exclusives rolling. Hardcore gamers will love their show(You'd better hope) also FF13 would help. Casual gamers if Sony is strong enough at this show may starn buying more systems to. A price cut annoucment would not be a bad idea. Budget gamers are lost to Sony till they lower their system to $300.

Microsoft needs to have a fairly strong showing this year to attract all kinds of gamers. Halo 3 will be their big deal I guess. A price cut would bring in Budget Gamers.

Nintendo could if they wanted to sit back and relax Their systems are selling fine and will continue to do so since they attract Hardcore, Casual and Budget Gamers. Still a showing of Metroid, Mario and some others would not hurt cause you have got to keep the Hardcore Gamers happy.

The fourth type of gamer....OWLPTM.... The one who listens to the press to much will probably be happy with their Wii and DS and will not buy a Microsoft or Sony system no matter what cause they got that Evil GTA game isn't going to be concerned with the show since they only listen to the news on T.V. or Newspaper. Good thing they only make up about .000000001% of the gaming market.

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.
