As of now, Nintendo refers to Switch as a home console in their PR statements and these are the two highest selling home consoles after 10 months, Switch is almost 100% ahead of both of them at this point.

You're forgetting something. Nearly 20 million PS2 shipments in it's first year and it's launch was all over the place. Nintendo hasn't claimed best seller ww in 10 months because it's not.

Im not forgetting anything, im going based on how a company's PR operate.

Its no different than when Sony claimed PS4 was tracking ahead of PS2, it wasnt true if you aligned all region launches but they said it anyway.
