They don't currently own switches, so for them, this is a system seller, something with which they can create and play with their children is excellent, especially one of the fathers who is a real gamer, he cannot wait to build the robot with his two sons and watch them play it. Indulging his love for play with his sons and of playing games in such a nurturing way is a real niche. Its hard for the people using this site, who are, to a person hardcore gamers (or we wouldn't be posting on a gaming forum) to identify with the people that this is aimed at, not just casuals, but giving Nintendo to a whole new audience who will grow with it. Both families can't wait for it, both will buy a switch for it, and undoubtedly this will lead to purchase of other games (such as botw for my brothers in law and odyssey for one of my sisters, they will also all enjoy games like snipperclips) I can well understand a rise in the stock price. |
Yes, I also think this might sell new consoles too. I guess a family with no interest in gaming at all might not get a switch for that, but for some people it might be the final push to buy it if they were already looking to buy a switch
