Ofcourse they were going to go down the staggered thumbstick route, I find that nearly every PS3/PS4 alternative controller does that and it makes sense because if they made it too similar to the Dualshock 4 than there is no reason to purchase one.
I personally think the light bar is essential, isn't it a requirement for some of the Playstation VR games, thats how it tracks everything via the light emitted on the Dualshock 4, the move controllers and the headset. So basically this controller is useless for PS VR.
