Yeah it's price is still very high. Plenty of room for cuts to keep the momentum going.

Probably should do it before summer starts, waiting to holiday might be too long. Pro is doing much better recently compared to the standard so that could wait to holiday (by sku)

At the end of the day they will do what they want. Sales vs less sales but more profit. However if it was up to me I'd leave it until the summer because the games line up for the next few months is decent but then I'd cut both the slim and pro.

Compared to other systems? Others systems such as the Xbox One and Wii U?

Of course!Bigger succeesses there are not! Lol

People like to say that "Japan is the land of handheld so of course the 3DS and the Switch are doing well there!", but the way I see it, Nintendo simply adapted to the market it is on with the Switch.PS4 is doing excellent worldwide and Sony cant appease every single market, but at the same time we cant say that the Switch sales on Europe are superb because Nintendo never does as well as other regions there, you cant say that the PS4 is doing superb in Japan because no one buys consoles there anymore.

You can say that the PS4 is having a decent growth there in comparison to the PS3, but as a videogame console is doing just ok there.

It's doing OK in terms of sales, but in terms of profit it's doing exceptionally well compared to ps3. Sony will be over the moon.

Good numbers for PS4, but somewhat said considering that up until 2017 PS4 had no competition on the home console market in Japan with the Wii U being a failure & xbox one being obsolet in japan anyway. The Ps3 on the other hand had the very successful Wii as its competition.

That's all well and good until you realise that for its first few years the ps4 had to share nearly all its games in Japan with ps3 and psv. A few were shared with Wii u, pc and 3ds as well but now they'll be sharing with the switch. In reality it never had the market to itself and for about 2 years the Wii u was actually putting up a fight.

Ps4 is king of its gen for home consoles and its a testiment to the product it actually has a chance to sell more then it's predecessor.
