Another interesting fact I forgot to mention is theater count declines. It really just stresses how poor the legs are. This weekend was I guess the first official weekend you could drop screenings, at least according to BOM. It seems they did the same for TFA and RO. My son's theater actually dropped it from 5-6 screens to just 2 last weekend.
Anyway, TFA opened on 4,134 screens. In its 5th weekend, it dropped to 3,822. That's a decline of 312, or 7.5%. RO started on 4,157 screens. In its 5th weekend, it dropped to 3,162. That's a decline of 995, or 23.9%. That's a pretty bad decline, but a little understandable, as it's a spinoff, not a main entry. Now, we get to TLJ. It opens with 4,232 screens. It just dropped to 3,090. That's a decline of 1,142, or 27%.
I'm kinda wondering if it'll even get the full 20 weeks like TFA and RO got.
