Maybe the X1 outsold the PS4 based on Price and marketing? Price and marketing isn't exclusive just in case you forgot. 

Exclusives only help market your system. However you can release a 1st party Exclusive game and if your competition markets a Big AAA 3rd party multiplat that's on both systems, your competition is going to win the sales.

You're a hypocrite. So you're saying the exclusivity, timed or not, is not part of marketing?! After you just said it actually IS?! I'm done discussing with you...can't stand your constant spinning anymore.

You just have a poor understanding. This entire time my point is made where you don't need 1st party exclusives to outsell your opposition hence this NPD. They help but there not necessary. Where's the spin in that? Apart from everyone making excuses as to way the X1 outsold the PS4 which only proves my point even further, they did it without 1st party games.

You can sell shit if you have perfect marketing for it. That's a lesson in life.
