I wouldn't go crazy over the PS4 losing. The November deal was just too good, so it should have been expected for sales to go down in December a bit. As for the Switch - didn't Nintendo do the same with the Wii back in 2007 when they had stock problems? I think the Wii also had comparatively low November sales back then (due to stock) and then shot up at Christmas.

Usually when you look at US weekly sales graphs during the holidays they go way up for Black Friday week, then go down and then up again to around the same (or higher) level during Christmas week. But the Wii graph for 2007 didn't have that first high due to stock, if I remember correctly (sales graphs don't load for me anymore). Looks like the same happened with the Switch. But whatever, it's definitely amazing that we have two (3 in the US) competitive players in the market right now. Way more exciting than the last few years!
