Owlboy has 88% on metacritic (and is influenced by games like Metroid and Zelda). Celeste will score high as well, I'm sure of that. It also has a godly soundtrack.

Maybe you should have a standard in the first place.

It's not a Switch problem that your gaming tastes are incredibly narrow.

I've been burned by AAA games as well before, doesn't mean I'm going to skip every single AAA game out there because of it.

Metacritic means bugger all, plenty of games I've played with a 90+ Meta have been tedious slogs.

Indies can't replace full fat games, just like trail mix or a snack bar can't replace a substantial meal.

Getting only 2 significant new games in half a year is a Switch problem.

A great game is a great game, it doesn't matter if it's made by an AAA developer or an indie developer. I don't care if a game sells systems or not, what I care about is if the game is fun to me.

You're not the judge on what is "meh" or "significant".

I find Bayonetta 2 to be an absolute bore, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game. It's just not my cup of tea. The franchise obviously has passionate fans.

Rocket League, Super Meatboy, Minecraft (it started out as an indie game) and Stardew Valley each sold millions of copies. How many of these "full fat games" of yours can even claim that?

Enter the Gungeon sold over a million copies on Steam alone. It sold 75K units in less than two weeks on the Switch. Not bad for an indie game, huh?
