If they don’t have the direct tomorrow then they are probably waiting on something pretty important. Could be footage or confirmation on a key game or trying to make timing right to maximize PR for some strategy they have.

I anticipate after that amazing first year, there will be a lot of built up announcements to organize and share. Way too many for it to be this dark for too long. I would expect something pretty big and unexpected. This isn’t the Wii U anymore so the skimpy treatment is gone and the Switch will be taking over their entire business strategy. This Direct will be the one to not only usher in expectations for 2018, but also will clue everyone in to the next phase of this business strategy. All of this coupled with Nintendo’s recent trend of a more aggressive stance indicates big news and surprises.
