Systems are moved by big-name killer apps, games like Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, or Monster Hunter in Japan. So far though, there aren't any killer apps confirmed for Switch in 2018. 

That's because those consoles didn't have decent indie support. 

A lot of indies run below par on the Vita as well.

You said Switch's 2018 so far is comparable to Wii U's 2013. Trust me, it's not. Wii U's indie support was pretty bad and it missed out on a lot of good games.

Yeah but at the end of the day, indies aren't that important in terms of hardware momentum. They're a side dish, not the main course.
